Why Music Career Coaching?

I have been in this business and played music since I was 12. I left Sweden for America, worlds away at 18 years old, and made it in a business that so many people are working so hard to break into. I have great ideas, empathy and compassion for others. Are you stuck and need to remove that block? Coaching means inspiring, encouraging, offering ideas, life experience, and real stories. My knowledge and journey has a lot to offer.

Marten is a veteran bass player with over 30 years of experience touring and recording with platinum selling billboard bands such as, SteelHeart, Lizzy Borden, Lynch Mob. Marten is the author of the book “Make Label Contact/The Ultimate Source Directory,” a reference and musicians guide, aimed towards musicians for record companies and demo submissions (published by SCI Publishing.) This book is widely considered to be the guide for any musician. Marten is also co-founder and producer of From Classical to Rock charity concerts, benefiting public music education (For more information on From Classical to Rock (click here). Marten also holds bass clinics and music seminars, performs at music trade shows and gives a limited number of private lessons whenever possible.
