Formed by Lizzy Borden's bassist, Marten Andersson, and Jonas Hansson (from Sweden's Silver Mountain), Legacy delivers straight-forward, honest,
melodic rock with some great guitar playing. Though Andersson has just completed work on a new Lizzy Borden album (Deal With The Devil), it's the
music that he's creating with Legacy that seems to have him the most excited these days and why not? The songs are carefully crafted (a good
blend of melody, musicianship, songwriting and go for the throat attitude)
and well executed. The album starts off with a 1-2-3 punch of great rockers.
"Troubleshooter" leads into an Alice Cooper inspired "Underdog" and the triad is completed with
"Tool." Track four sounds like Bon Jovi's "Bed Of Roses" combined with the Scorpions "Wind Of
Change," while "Mission Of Mercy" seems to be a nod to the classic Ratt line-up. The rest of the album
mixes original ideas with odes to Metallica, Yngwie, etc. Overall, Legacy is a great little unknown band.
If they can find a niche in today's rock marketplace, they could actually go far and build a solid fan
